Dear City Council Members:
As I was reading the Elk River Star News, Jan 5, 2000, I came across the article
talking about "sign ordinances" through out the town. As I was reading, I began
to chuckle thinking, everytime I am sitting at the stop light on Hwy. 10 and Main
Street, I am wondering why Boelters are allowed to have so much "junk" and
signs, on their lot? If the city is so concerned about business' sign types, sizes,
that place would be a good place to start cracking down on. That place is so full
of old tractor parts, old cars, a rotting wood octupus, signs and junk sitting
around, that I would think that other business' may feel if the city allows them
(Boelters), then why shouldn't we be allowed to. Honestly, it is such an eye soar
when you come into town. Next time you drive by, take a good look at that place
and maybe you will shake your heads too, we sure do.
Thank-you
Anne Baldwin
