Consider Police Reserves Wage Adjustment
In December the City Council approved the 2000 pay resolution; however,
there are several part time positions, including police reserve, which are not
included in the pay resolution. When staff discussed the 2000 Police Reserve
budget, a pay increase to $10.75 per hour was proposed. The reserve~ have
been paid $10.00 per hour for the last several years. Reserves are paid only for
the Sherburne County Fair and the Forth of July Celebration. Most of the
hours worked by the reserves are volunteer hours with no compensation.
Action Requested
The City Council is asked to consider increasing police reserve pay to $10.75
per hour for 2000.
