SUBJECT: SNOWMOBILE USAGE ON CITY PROPERTY
AND ON PUBLIC SIDEWALKS
There has been a concern over the operation of snowmobiles
within the City of Elk River, particularly on City park turf
grass and on City sidewalks .
It is a violation of City ordinance for anyone to operate a
snowmobile on private property without the property owner's
permission. I would assume this would also be true for City
park property and I plan to research the ordinance before
Wednesday's meeting.
It is also a violation of City ordinance to operate a
snowmobile on a public sidewalk. I have contacted the Police
• Department and requested their help in enforcing this ordinance.
