Dear Mayor Duitsman and Council Members,
The Elk River Area Arts Council is delighted to hear that a park
will be made from the "pit" where Elk River Hardware once stood.
What an asset to the City! It's like spinning gold from hay.
• We urge you to look to the future and to the arts to strengthen
this drawing card for Elk River: Our organization is interested in
scheduling music, theatre and dance performances there throughout
the spring, summer and fall for the entire community. The park
should include an amphitheater with electricity for lights and
sound, and seating so that people of all ages can attend in
comfort.
We are eager to see this unique riverside park materialize and be
enjoyed! If we can be of further help in moving this project
along, please call.
