The City Council is scheduled to meet in a Special Session on April 3, 2000 for
approximately 2 hours. (The EDA Industrial Marketing Committee meeting is
scheduled to meet from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.) The agenda for the CIP meeting

SUBJECT: Vandenberge Pool Update
School Superintendent Dr. Flannery has advised me that it is looking positive
in terms of the school obtaining permission from the State to do deficit
spending and issue tax anticipation notes in order to finance the pool repairs.
It is hoped that formal approval from the State will be obtained prior to the
Tuesday, March 14th School Board meeting so that consideration of the pool
repair bids by the School Board can take place that evening. If this does not go
according to plan, Dr. Flannery has indicated that he may ask the City Council
to discuss this issue at his March 20, 2000 meeting.
