RES 1978 HIGHWAY 101 BRIDGE REPLACEMENT RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City Council of Elk River desires to place the Old
Highway 101 Bridge across the Mississippi on its Municipal State Aid
System and proceed with an application for replacement of the Bridge
with funds from State Transporations Bonds at the earliest possible
date.
AND WHEREAS, the bridge is jointly owned by the City of Elk River
and Wright County and under State Aid regulations Elk River cannot
designate its portion of the Bridge as a Municipal State Aid Street
unless Wright County also designates its portion of the bridge as a
County State Aid Highway, therefore, be it resolved that Wright County
is hereby requested to designate County Road 130 a County State Aid
• Highway and to work jointly with the City of Elk River to obtain funds
for the bridge replacement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized
to forward copies of this resolution to the County Commissioners of
Wright County for their consideration.
