RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF
AN APPLICATION FOR SHADE TREE PROGRAM FUNDS AND
APPROVING THE LOCAL SHADE TREE BUDGET
WHEREAS, The Elk River City Council has determined that Dutch Elm and Oak Wilt
within the City of Elk River is sufficient to justify a control program;
and,
WHEREAS, Such a control program is deemed to be desireable by the Elk River City
Council; and,
WHEREAS, The Minnesota Department of Agriculture has available $25,000,000 for
shade tree programs in the State of Minnesota.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Elk River City Council that submission of a
shade tree program application for calendar year 1979 to the Minnesota
Department of Agriculture is hereby approved, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proposed program budget as follows is also hereby
approved:
Sanitation Costs
• Personnel $ 500.00
Equipment 500.00
Outside Contracts 2,500.00
Miscellaneous (Reimbursements to
Elk River residents) 4,050.00
Total $ 7,550.00
