Action Requested
Approve, by motion, the hiring of Harley Lenart, Reid Ellanson, and Colin Myhro to the position of
Police Officer effective April 7, 2015.
Background /Discussion
The recent retirement of Chief Rolfe, the departure of Officer Jeff Mathiowetz, and the movement of an
officer to the Drug Task Force has left three police officer vacancies. All current vacancies are budgeted.
Three new officers have been selected for the current vacancies. The three newly - selected officers have
successfully completed their background checks and psychological examinations.
Financial Impact
The positions are currently budgeted. Pay rate is per the union contract for a starting officer.
