Discussion of request to install a Free Little Library at Trott Brook Park.
Approval by motion for Girl Scout Brownie Troop 16132 to install a Little Library at Trott Brook Park
with the following provisions:
• Group cover costs associated with the Free Little Library installation.
• Group will work with the Parks and Recreation Department on location.
• Group will maintain the books and the library itself.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
• Free Little Libraries are a"take a book,return a book"gathering place where neighbors share their
favorite literature and stories. In its most basic form,a Free Little Library is a box full of books where
anyone may stop by and pick up a book(or two) and bring back another book to share.
• Free Little Libraries are generally maintained by volunteer groups.
• Books are donated from libraries and the public in general.
