Recommend,by motion,park dedication be satisfied by:
1. Park dedication shall be paid for two (2) dwelling units at the rate applicable at the time the lot
split is released for recording. The 2015 rate for residential is $3,712 per dwelling unit.
Background/Discussion
The applicant will be splitting their 11 acre property into three lots,creating two new buildable lots and a
third lot for the existing home.
Section 30-392 (3) indicates lot splits shall be submitted to the Parks and Recreation Commission for
review of park dedication requirements.A recommendation should be forwarded to the city council for
consideration, along with the proposed subdivision.
The Comprehensive Park Plan does not indicate a trail corridor near the property. Although the property
falls in an Area Wide/Conservancy park target area,land for park dedication would not benefit the area.
