2015 Vehicle Purchases
BACKGROUND:
Approved in the 2015 budget were a F250 pickup truck and a SUV.
DISCUSSION:
Midway Ford is the vendor that was awarded the contract for State Contract pricing of vehicles.
State contract pricing is the lowest pricing we can get and it takes the negotiating factor out. We
have received the quote from Midway Ford for the 2016 Explorer. We are still waiting for the
pricing of the pickups to come out; it sounds like early next week that pricing will be available.
If the commission would like to keep the purchases of the vehicles local,than we will request a
quote from the local Ford dealer.
ACTION REQUESTED:
Staff recommends approving the purchase of these two vehicles from either Midway Ford with
the state contract pricing, or the local dealer if their quote comes in close to the state pricing.
