EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELK RIVER, MINNESOTA
HELD: AUGUST 18, 1980
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Elk River, Sherburne County, Minnesota, was duly held
at the Elk River Public Library on the 18th day of August at 8:00 p.m.
The following members were present: Mayor Madsen, Councilmembers Engstrom,
Duitsman and Otto and the following were absent: Councilman Toth.
Member Duitsman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION 80-18, ORDERING IMPROVEMENT PURSUANT TO
PETITION BY 100% OF OWNERS OF AFFECTED PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition pertaining to permanent
streets and storm water drainage improvements, according to the final plat of
the Pinewood First Addition, knowhas 182nd Avenue and Yankton Street NW.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River,
Minnesota as follows:
a. the aforesaid petition is signed by all the owners of real property
abutting upon the streets named as the location of the improvements in the
petition,
b. said property owners request in the petition that the improvements be
constructed and that the entire cost of the improvement be assessed against
their property,
c. the consulting Engineer has recommended that said improvement is feasible
and can best be made as proposed.
and said improvement is hereby ordered.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Otto, and upon vote being taken theron, the following voted in favor thereof:
Engstrom, Duitsman and Otto and the following voted against the same: None.
Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 18th day of
August, 1980. ed
