0 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT
AND LOAN APPLICATION TO THE FARMER'S HOME ADMINISTRATION
WHEREAS, A variety of pressing needs for sanitary sewer service in the City
of Elk River have been indentified; and,
WHEREAS, The Elk River City Council has deemed that the construction of a
sanitary sewer interceptor best addresses the many needs identified;
and,
WHEREAS, The Farmer's Home Administration can make grants and loans to eligible
communities for the construction of sanitary sewer services; and,
WHEREAS, The receipt of financial assistance for the construction of the pro-
posed sanitary sewer interceptor in the City of Elk River will make
the project financially viable,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River that
the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized to submit an application
to the Farmer's Home Administration for loan and grant funds to assist in the
construction of a proposed sanitary sewer interceptor in the City of Elk River.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby em-
powered to act on behalf of the City of Elk River on matters related to the
sanitary sewer interceptor construction.
