• Adopt, by motion, a resolution acknowledging aglime donations from Elk River Baseball.
• Recognize and thank Elk River Baseball for the donation.
Background/Discussion
For several years, Elk River Baseball has provided or donated aglime to the city for assistance in
grooming the baseball fields at the Youth Athletic Complex.
The material is used to keep the infields properly crowned. They volunteered to donate aglime this year
at a value of$1,250. Members of the Elk River Baseball youth group association will attend the Council
Meeting on April 20, 2015 to be recognized for their efforts.
Pursuant to Minnesota Statute 465.03, resolutions acknowledging contributions must be adopted by a
four-fifths vote.
Financial Impact
Parks maintenance staff will use the aglime to groom the baseball fields. This donation will save the city
maintenance costs in operating supplies.

Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved its
adoption:
Resolution 15-
A Resolution of the City of Elk River Acknowledging Contributions
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community;and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a $1,250 value aglime donation from Elk River
Baseball with the intent it be used by the Parks and Recreation Department for grooming
baseball fields.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, by at least four-fifths
vote, to acknowledge the support and commend Elk River Baseball for their donation.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember
