By motion, approve the appointment of Ryan Hardin to the Finance Committee, providing real estate
view point.
Background/Discussion
At the January meeting, the EDA directed staff to pursue filling the Finance Committee vacancy with an
individual with a real estate background. The appointment and/or removal of committee members are at
the discretion of the EDA.
The Finance Committee provides the EDA with a technical, politically neutral analysis of an application
including microloan, tax abatement, and tax increment financing applications. They meet on an as-
needed basis, generally before the work day, on the last Tuesday of the month.
Ryan Hardin is a realtor serving many clients in the Elk River area. Staff has worked with him on
numerous occasions in the commercial industrial market. Mr. Hardin will be at the meeting to answer
any questions posed by the EDA.
