Request for New Pick-Up for the Building Dept.
The following is a recommendation to the Council for an additional pick-up truck for the
Building Department. Local car dealers were used in the following quotes (Saxon
Motors and Elk River Ford). We are recommending a full size pick-up due to safety
issues, more leg room, ground clearance; for mud & snow clearance in spring, fall and
winter, better value for the money and resale cost. However, staff does recommend going
with a short box and a V6 to cut costs.
We have budgeted $20,000 fbr a truck in this years budget.
