Dear Mr. Hals:
I am a concerned resident of Elk River in regard to recreational area
for children who are residents of the apartment buildings noted on the
enclosed sketch of my conception of a park-playground that could be
installed in the area described. There are, as noted, 4 large apartment
complexes, all of which border on this vacant land. Right now it is
overgrown with weeds, children have been digging very deep holes, very
• dangerous for the younger children. Also have seen neighboring residents
dump waste oil in this area. Please let me know when and if some plan
is in place for this area when convenient for you. I also submitted an
application letter for the Planning Commissioner position this date.
Thank you for taking the time to view my sketch and I hope plans will be
in the works soon.
