03-24-2015 PC MINMeeting of s Held at the Elk River City Hall Tuesday, Members Present: Chair Eric Johnson, Commissioners Garrett Christianson, Andrew Crook, Jeremy Johnson, Jill Larson -Vito, Mark Konietzko and Brad Thiel. Members Absent: None Staff Present: Deputy Director Community Operations & Development Jeremy Barnhart; Park Planner /Planner Chris Leeseberg, Sr. Administrative Assistant Debbie Huebner Also Present: Councilmember Burandt I . Call Meeting to Order Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Planning Commission was called to order at 7:04 p.m. by Chair Eric Johnson. Moved by Commissioner Johnson and seconded by Commissioner Larson -Vito to approve the March 24, 2015, Planning Commission agenda. Motion carried 7 -0. r Motion by Commissioner Larson -Vito and seconded by Commissioner Konietzko to approve the February 24, 2015, Regular Planning Commission meeting minutes. Motion carried 7 -0. Motion by Commissioner Larson -Vito and seconded by Commissioner Konietzko to appoint Eric Johnson Planning Commission Chair. Motion carried 7 -0. Motion by Commissioner Johnson and seconded by Commissioner Larson -Vito to appoint Mark Konietzko Planning Commission Vice- Chair. Motion carried 7 -0. .1 Gravel Mining Plan Jeremy Barnhart introduced Breanne Rothstein and Jack Corkle of WSB. Ms. Rothstein presented the Gravel Mining Plan. She provided background information and discussed the next steps to be taken in formalizing the plan. Planning Commission Minutes March 24, 2015 Page 2 Mr. Barnhart noted that in response to some comments, some minor changes will be made in the plan before it goes back to the City Council. Motion by Commissioner Larson -Vito and seconded by Commissioner Johnson to recommend approval of the Gravel Mining Plan. Motion carried 7 -0. b. General Business - None 7 r.. Councilmember Burandt noted that the amendment to the setbacks for agricultural animals was passed. Mr. Leeseberg noted that the Gustafson request was approved as an Interim Use Permit by the City Council. 8. Adjournment There being no further business, Commissioner Johnson moved to adjourn the meeting.
