Application for On-Sale and Sunday Liquor License
Requested by Jason Hines
REQUEST
Jason Hines has submitted an application for an on-sale and Sunday liquor
license at the Elk River Country Club.
BACKGROUND
Mr. Hines has opened a restaurant called Nature's Hideway at Elk River
Country Club. He is proposing to serve alcohol at the restaurant. A menu is
attached showing the type of food that will be served at the restaurant.
The Planning Commission has recommended approval of a conditional use
permit to allow an intensification of use in regard to the sale of liquor. This
request will be considered by the Council on Monday evening.
This will be the 9th on-sale liquor license in the City. The City is allowed by
law to have 12 on-sale licenses which is established by population. This
number can be increased when the city reaches a population of 20,000 or by
referendum. I will bring this issue before the Council for discussion in the
near future.
ACTION REQUESTED
Counci! motion approving on-sale and Sunday liquor license for Jason Hines
at Nature's Hideway at Elk River Country Club contingent upon approval of
the conditional use permit by the City Council.
