A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AND COMMENDING
THE SERVICE OF LLOYD BARTHEL
WHEREAS , Lloyd Barthel has served in the capacity of Fire Chief
of the Elk River Volunteer Fire Department from 197 1
to 1981 ; and,
WHEREAS , under the leadership of Lloyd Barthel , the Elk River
Volunteer Fire Department functioned in an exemplary
manner in protecting the lives and property of the
citizens of Elk River; and,
WHEREAS , Lloyd Barthel dedicated countless hours of his time and
resources to the Fire Department .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Elk River that Lloyd Barthel ' s service to the City o f
Elk River is hereby recognized and commended; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Lloyd Barthel ' s efforts and service to
the City of Elk River as Chief of the Volunteer Fire
Department should serve as an example of citizen concern
for and dedication to an improved quality of p . er
the community for all citizens of the City of Elk ,iv
