• EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ELK RIVER, MINNESOTA
HELD: AUGUST 17, 1981
Purusant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Elk River, Sherburne County, Minnesota was duly held at the
Elk River Public Library on the 17th day of August, 1981 at 8:00 o'clock P.M.
The following members were present: Mayor Hinkle, Councilmembers Duitsman,
Toth and Schuldt and the following were absent: Councilman Engstrom.
Member Toth introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION 81-36, ORDERING THE COMPLETION OF THE IMPROVEMENTS TO GREENHEAD ACRES
3RD ADDITION AND AWARDING THE BID TO BUFFALO BITUMINOUS, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF
$147,086.
WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition pertaining to street and storm
sewer improvements located on Vernon Street N.W. , York Street N.W., 210th Circle
N.W. , 212th Avenue N.W., all located entirely within the Greenhead Acres 3rd Addition
Subdivision.
410 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River,
Minnesota as follows:
a. the aforesaid petition is signed by all the owners of real property
abutting upon the streets named as the location of the improvements in the
petition,
b. said property owners request in the petition that the improvement be
constructed and that the entire cost of the improvement be assessed against
their property,
c. the consulting Engineer has recommended that said improvement is
feasible and can best be made as proposed.
and said improvement is hereby ordered and the bid awarded to Buffalo Bituminous,
Inc. in the amount of $147,086.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by.member Duitsman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof: . Mayor Hinkle, Councilmembers Duitsman, Toth and Schuldt and
the following voted against the same: None.
Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted.
