RESOLUTION 81-38
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE COMMISSIONER OF
TRANSPORTATION TO STUDY CERTAIN ROADS IN THE
CITY OF ELK RIVER FOR THE PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHING SPEED ZONES
WHEREAS, the Elk River City Council has determined that there are a number of
streets in the City of Elk River, upon which the designated speed zone
is of concern to the Council; and,
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes require that the City Council request the Commissioner
of Transportation to investigate appropriate speed zones in areas of ques-
tion within the City of Elk River; and,
WHEREAS, the City's request to the Commissioner of Transportation for the investiga-
tion and eventual establishment of speed zones must be made by a resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River that the
Commissioner of Transportation is hereby requested by the Council to investigate the
following streets within the City of Elk River for the purpose of establishing the
appropriate speed zones:
County Road 21 (Also known as Brook Road and 221st Avenue N.W.)
40 County Road 33 east of Highway #169 (Also, Quincy Street N.W. and 209th Ave. NW)
Vance Street
Ulysses Street
Smith Street south of County Road 33
203rd Avenue N.W. south of County Road 33
Quincy Circle
200th Avenue N.W. to Cul-de-Sac west of Tyler Street N.W.
197th Avenue N.W. between Ulysses & Tyler Street N.W.
195th Avenue N.W. bewteen Ulysses & Tyler Street N.W.
Twin Lakes Road (Also County Rd. 13) between 5th Street and Tyler Street N.W.
