A RESOLUTION APPROVING A REDEVELOPMENT PLAN
FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER AND MAKING
CERTAIN FINDINGS REGARDING SAID PLAN
WHEREAS, the Elk River Housing and Redevelopment Authority has undertaken to complete
a redevelopment plan for a portion of the City of Elk River; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River Planning Commission has reviewed and approved with
comments the Housing and Redevelopment Authority proposed redevelopment
plan; and,
WHEREAS, M.S. 462.521 requires that the governing body of a community review any
proposed redevelopment plans and approve of same and make certain findings
regarding said redevelopment plans.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River that the
Housing and Redevelopment Authority redevelopment plan for the City of Elk River as
presented is hereby approved and that the City Council makes the following findings
relative to said redevelopment plan:
1. The land in the project area would not be made available for redevelopment
• without the financial aid of the City of Elk River or the Housing and Redevel-
opment Authority.
2. The redevelopment plans for the redevelopment areas in the City of Elk River
afford maximum opportunities consistent with the sound needs of the locality
as a whole for the redevelopment of such areas by private enterprise.
3. The redevelopment plans conform to the general plan for the development of
the City of Elk River as a whole.
