82-008 RES RESOLUTION 82-8
A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR THE DISSOLUTION OF THE REGION 7W REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT
COMMISSION:
WHEREAS, in previous actions, the City Council has supported the continuance
of the Region 7W Regional Development Commission; and,
WHEREAS, recently the Region 7W Regional Development Commission voted to refuse
any funds for the operation of the Commission from the State of Federal
government; and,
WHEREAS, on June 30th, 1982, the Region 7W Regional Development Commission will
run out of available funds for the operation of said Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River that in
light of the current financial position of the Region 7W Regional Develop-
ment Commission, the only reasonable course of action is to dissolve the
Region 7W Regional Development Commission, so as not to pose a burden on
taxpayers within the region.
