RESOLUTION 82-20
A RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING AND COMMENDING
THE EMPLOYMENT OF KENNETH NELSON
WHEREAS, Kenneth Nelson has been employed by the City of Elk River from
September 5th, 1970 until his retirement on September 30, 1982; and,
WHEREAS, During his employment Mr. Nelson was a conscientious and hardworking
employee who dedicated many hours in excess of those required in the
performance of his duties for the City of Elk River; and,
WHEREAS, During Mr. Nelson's employment with the City of Elk River, the quality
of and care for equipment was upgraded substantially and the level of
maintenance services provided was also increased noticeably; and,
WHEREAS, During Mr. Nelson's employment, the City successfully adapted to a
significant increase in demand for public works services as a result
0 of the consolidation of Elk River Township and the City of Elk River.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River that
upon Kenneth Nelson's retirement from service with the City of Elk
River that Mr. Nelson be commended for his dedicated and conscientious
service to the City of Elk River and that said service is hereby grate-
fully acknowledged by the City Council on behalf of the Council and the
Citizens of the City of Elk River.
