83-014 RES GG�{e_s RESOLUTION 83-14 EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER HELD JULY 7, 1983 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Elk River, Minnesota was duly called and held at. the Elk River Public Library in said City on the 7th day of July, 1983, at 7:30 p.m. The following members were present: Mayor Hinkle, Councilmembers Schuldt, Gunkel and Duitsman. The following members were absent: Councilmember Engstrom Councilman Duitsman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION 83-14; A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE GATES AVENUE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, after due notice of public hearing on the construction of the Gates Avenue improvement project for the City of Elk River, Minnesota, hearing on said improvements was duly held and the City Council heard all persons desiring to be heard on the matter and fully considered the same. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River, Minnesota, as follows : 1. It is advisable, expedient and necessary that said improvements as • described in the notice of hearing thereon be constructed and the same are hereby ordered made. 2. It is advisable, expedient and necessary that watermain improvements recommended and found to be feasible by Consulting Engineer's Diversified, and discussed by the City Council at the July 5, 1983, City Council meeting, excluding those improvements subject to a petition submitted for the Elk River Plaza PUD and which were ordered by Council Resolution 83-13, be constructed and the same are hereby ordered made. 3. The improvements described in said notice of hearing and watermain improve- ments described in item #2 above are hereby designated and shall be known as the Gates Avenue improvement project. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council- member Schuldt and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hinkle, Councilmembers Duitsman and Schuldt. The following voted against the same: Councilmember Gunkel Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted this 7th day of July, 1983.
