84-006 RES CITY OF ELK RIVER
RESOLUTION NO. 84-6
STATE TRUNK HIGHWAY 10 STREET LIGHTING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
REQUEST FOR USE OF FAU FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Elk River City Council wishes to install street lights on State
Trunk Highway 10, and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to use monies from its Federal Aid Urban allotment,
and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to include the street lighting project in the Min-
nesota Department of Transportation's bid for State Trunk Highway 10 improve-
ments, State Project No. 7101-49, and
WHEREAS, State Trunk Highway 10 is on the Federal Aid Primary System.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Elk River City Council that:
1. The Minnesota Department of Transportation is requested to take the
necessary steps to use monies from the Elk River Federal Aid Urban ac-
count on the Federal Aid Primary System for this project. Estimated cost
• to be $50,000. The actual cost to be determined after the opening of
bids.
2. The City of Elk River will provide the matching funds for this project.
