EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER HELD JULY 16, 1984
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Elk River, Minnesota was duly called and held at the Elk River
Public Library in said City on the 16th day of July 1984, at 7:30 p.m.
The following members were present: Mayor Hinkle, Councilmembers Engstrom,
Duitsman, Schuldt and Gunkel
The following members were absent: None
Councilmember Duitsman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION 84-18, A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE TRUNK WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENT THROUGH
THE ELK RIVER PLAZA PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT TO THE BARRINGTON PLACE PLANNED
UNIT DEVELOPMENT.
WHEREAS, The City Council deems it necessary and expedient that the City of Elk River
construct watermain improvements through the Elk River Plaza Planned Unit
Development to the Barrington Place Planned Unit Development, as described
in accordance with preliminary plans and feasibility report prepared by
John Gilbertson of Consulting Engineers Diversified, consulting engineer;
and,
1111 WHEREAS, The City Council has been advised by the consulting engineer that said project
improvements are feasible and should thus be made as proposed; and,
WHEREAS, after due notice of public hearing on the construction of the watermain
improvements above-described for the City of Elk River, Minnesota, the hearing
on said improvement was duly held and the City Council heard all persons
desiring to be heard on the matter and fully considered the same.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River, Minnesota,
as follows:
1. It is advisable, expedient and necessary that said improvements as de-
scribed in the notice of hearing thereon be constructed and the same
are hereby ordered made.
2. The improvement described in said notice of hearing is hereby designated
The Trunk Watermain Improvement Through the Elk River Plaza Planned Unit
Development to the Barrington Place Planned Unit Development.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council-
member Engstrom and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof:
Councilmembers Engstrom, Duitsman, Schuldt and Gunkel

Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted this 16th day of July,
1984.
