EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER HELD JULY, 30,1984
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Elk River, Minnesota was duly called and held at
the Elk River Public Library in said City on the 30th day of July, 1984,
at 7 :30 p.m.
The following members were present: Mayor Hinkle, Councilmembers
Schuldt, Gunkel, Duitsman and Engstrom
The following member were absent: None
Councilmember Duitsman introduced the following resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION 84-20, A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE STATE OF MINNESOTA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND COST
ESTIMATES AS THE FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR THE HIGHWAY 10/MAIN
STREET PROJECT AND ORDERING THE COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary and expedient that the City
of Elk River construct street, storm sewer and watermain improv-
ments to that portion of the Highway 10 and Main Street as
described in accordance with the plans and, specifications pre-
pared by the Minnesota Department of Transportation; 'and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has been advised by the Minnesota Department of
Transportation that said project improvements are feasible and
should be made as proposed; and,
WHEREAS, after due notice of public hearing on the construction of the
Highway 10/Main Street Improvement project for the City of Elk
River, Minnesota, hearing on said improvement was duly held and
the City Council heard all persons desiring to be heard on the
matter and fully considered the same.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk River,
Minnesota as follows:
1 . It is advisable, expedient and necessary that said improvements
as described in the notice of hearing thereon be constructed
and the same are hereby ordered made.
2. The improvements described in said notice of hearing are
hereby designed and shall be known as the Highway 10/Main
Street Improvement Project.

voted in favor thereof:
Councilmembers SchuldtL Engstrom, Duitsman and Gunkel
The following voted against the Same: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted this 30th
day of July, 1984,
