RES 1978 REQUEST FOR MUNICIPAL STATE AID TO MAINTAIN ROADS RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City Council of Elk River has recently designated
a Municipal State Aid System and the system includes a former County
Road.
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River has not budgeted funds for 1978
for the maintenance of this road.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Elk River hereby
requests that 25% of its 1978 State Aid allotment be designated for
maintenance of its State Aid System.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized
and directed to forward copies of this resolution to the Commissioner
• of the Department of Transportation for his consideration.

RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING MUNICIPAL STATE AID HIGHWAYS
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Elk River
that the streets hereinafter described should be designated Municipal
State Aid Streets under the provisions of Minnesota Laws of 1967
Chapter 162:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Elk River that the streets described as follows, to-wit:

be, and hereby is established, located, and designated as Municipal State
Aid Streets of said City, subject to the approval of the Commissioner of
Highways of the State of Minnesota.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized
and directed to forward two certified copies of this resolution to the
Commissioner of Highways for his consideration, and that upon his approval
of the designation of said road or portion thereof, that same be constructed,
improved and maintained as Municipal State Aid Streets of the City of
Elk River, to be numbered as listed above.
