Discussion of request to install a Free Little library at Lion John Weicht Park and Mississippi Oaks Park.
Approval by motion for Spectrum School to install a Little Library at Lion John Weicht and Mississippi
Oaks Park with the following provisions:
• Group cover costs associated with the Free Little Library installations.
• Group will work with the Parks and Recreation Department on locations.
• Group will maintain the books and the libraries.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
• Free Little libraries are a "take a book,return a book" gathering place where neighbors share their
favorite literature and stories. In its most basic form, a Free Little Library is a box full of books where
anyone may stop by and pick up a book (or two) and bring back another book to share.
• Free Little libraries are generally maintained by volunteer groups.
• Books are donated from libraries and the public in general.
