Adopt, by motion, the attached resolution acknowledging the contributions of$7,000 to the Fire
Department from various groups and organizations.
Background/Discussion
From January 1, 2015, through May 28, 2015, the Fire Department has received two donations from
groups and organizations totaling$7,000. The intent of the donations is listed on the attached
spreadsheet.
Contributions shall be approved for acceptance and resolution adopted by at least four-fifths vote.
Financial Impact
The City of Elk River Fire Department has received $7,000 in donations.

A Resolution of the City of Elk River Acknowledging Contributions
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community;and
WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received donations in the year 2015 (January—May)
from various individuals and organizations as itemized on Exhibit A, attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, by at least four-fifths
vote, to acknowledge the support and commend these individual and organizations for their
donation.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember
, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
