A Resolution of the City of Elk River Amending the Comprehensive Plan to
Change the Land Use from Focused Area Study to Industrial
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 462.355, Subdivision 2, prescribes the procedure for
amending the Comprehensive Plan, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on May 26, 2015 and recommended
approval regarding the Comprehensive Plan amendment request for the property generally described
as: Lot 1, Block 2, Natures Edge Business Center, Sherburne County, Minnesota
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the Comprehensive Plan amendment request and
finds the following:
1. The current use of the site is consistent with Light Industrial uses.
2. The land use is consistent with the surround land uses.
3. The use would not have adverse impacts on the surrounding land uses.
4. The proposed changes are in general conformance to the adopted Comprehensive Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Elk
River, Minnesota, as follows: The Land Use Plan be amended to change the property as
described above from Focused Area Study to Industrial.
Passed and adopted this 1st day of June 2015.
