DISCUSSION:
• The event has been scheduled for Thursday, August 27th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
• Center Cut Meats has been selected as the food provider. There will be pulled pork, with
sauces on the side, beans, pasta salad, and coleslaw. We are still exploring deserts, and
snacks for the event in addition to the meal. The snacks will most likely be popcorn,
cotton candy, and slushies.
• ERMU and the County are finalizing the contract for the event. This will be a great
venue and will save money and preparation time. The fairgrounds and buildings have
tables on hand and simply need to be decorated which will safe considerable time and
expense.
• Community Education will participate and will provide entertainment for kids that will
include a bouncy house, games, and activities. The Community Education insurance will
provide coverage for their activities at this point
• ERMU staff will provide tours of the diesel power plant and are working on a shuttle
service to take them to the power plant and by water facilities. The water facilities will
be highlighted on the drive or from the power plant, but guests will not be going inside
the water tower or filter buildings.
• The band Skitzo Fonik has been booked. They are band that plays a good mix of classic
and new music. They are also able to play some of your favorite country tunes. They
have two lead singers (one man and one woman)which will provide a wider range of
diverse music and songs. The cost for the band, stage, and preparation is roughly$2,300.
The contract is currently being finalized.
