Staff Update
DISCUSSION:
• The Locating department had a total of 457 locate tickets in May; two of them being
emergency tickets, 11 cancellations, 16 meets, 399 normal tickets, one boundary survey, and
28 updated tickets. The new map books were printed,bound and distributed to line trucks
and office personnel.
• In May, the Security Systems Department had a total of 79 phone contacts, 11 systems
quoted, five system sales made, five installs completed, 21 service calls and 11 personal
visits.
• Electric Technicians continue with the meter reading,power bill, substation checks,hanging
red-tags,meter read-outs, dealing with meter and off-peak issues, and delivering and
installing new meters to commercial customers. They continue to change out the three phase
meters to radio read meters. Installed new Beckwith LTC controls that will allow power
quality monitoring and also allow us to monitor and control though our SCADA system.
• The power plant staff did the monthly engine run on May 19th. All engines ran well with no
problems.
• Staff continues to collect data with the GPS for our ArcView maps as time permits.
• I have been working with Mike O'Neill the past few weeks getting him up to speed as my
replacement.
