SUBJECT: Update on City Council Feedback Regarding Greater MN
Housing Fund Growth Corridor Initiative
Background
At the November HRA meeting, the HRA discussed whether or not to submit a
pre-application for the Greater MN Housing Fund Growth Corridor Initiative pilot
program. The program will initially provide technical assistance to two, high-growth
• communities located at the edge of the seven-county metro area.
It was of HRA consensus that the City Council consider the issue.
Issue
The City Council considered the issue at its November 8, 2004 meeting. It was of City
Council consensus that a pre-application not be submitted since staff is capable of
performing the technical activities that the program assistance would entail.
