Set Hearing Date for Liquor Violations
REQUEST:
The Council is requested to set a liquor compliance hearing date of May 22,
2000, to consider imposing penalties for failure of a liquor compliance check.
BACKGROUND:
During the last liquor compliance check, three establishments sold liquor to
minors in the City; Applebees, Rons, and Pizza Hut. According to the City's
liquor ordinance, these establishment must be afforded an opportunity for a
hearing before the Council before a penalty is imposed.
As required by ordinance, the above three establishments will be given 10
days notice of the May 22 hearing.
The violation for a first offense is $500.00.
ACTION REQUESTED:
Council motion calling a liquor compliance hearing date of May 22, 2000.
