Mayor & City Council
Phil Hals, Street/Park Superintendent
May 4, 2000
Employee Issues
On April 26, 2000, Aaron Oscarson submitted a letter of resignation from his
position as a street department laborer.
Case Hayward, ice arena employee, was scheduled to work summer months as
a street/park mower operator, but has recently undergone surgery that will
keep him out of action for 6-8 weeks.
With the grass mowing season coming on strong, we will definitely miss these
two operating positions.
Recommendation
It is recommended the City Council authorize advertising for a laborer position
replacement as soon as possible and consider the use of overtime with our
present employees until the work load reaches a manageable level.
