REQUEST:
During the 5/1/2000 Board of Review meeting, the Board was asked to review
the re-assessed property valuation for Parcel #75-431-0420.
BACKGROUND:
Excerpt from May 1, 2000 Board of Review Minutes
Rolfe Anderson - 75-431-0420 - Mr. Anderson indicated that his value increased from
193,500 to $206,600 in 2000. He indicated that he feels his total assessed value is too high.
After reviewing assessed values of similar style homes in the area and reviewing sales
comps, it was the consensus that the value may be too high and that the Assessor should
re-evaluate the property.
COUNClLMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE ASSESSOR TO COMPLETE AN APPRAISAL
OF PROPERTY OWNED BY ROLFE ANDERSON #75-535-0255 AND TO REPORT BACK TO THE
CITY COUNCIL WITH A RECOMMENDATION. COUNCILMEMBER THOMPSON SECONDED THE
MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0.
ACTION REQUESTED:
The Assessor's office has reappraised the property and is recommending that
the Board of Review decrease the market value of the property from $206,600
to $177,200 for the 2000 assessment.
