Consider Park Equipment Bids
The bids for park equipment will be opened on the morning of May 8. Staff
will present the results of the bids at the council meeting.

SUBJECT: Playground Equipment Purchase
On May 8, 2000 the City accepted bids for playground equipment. Earl F.
Anderson of Bloomington, MN was the only bidder. The bids were under
the original Staff estimate. They bid the following:
· Playground Equipment for Country Crossings III$28,686.00
· Playground Equipment for Lion's Park $ 8,748.00
· Swing Set for Meadow Park $ 1,122.51
The bidder supplies the playground equipment and a field supervisor for
these three units and the City will do the installation as well as supply the
perimeter border and the cushion material. The costs for these supplies will
be brought before the City Council at a later date.
The Park and Recreation Commission has endorsed these plans and
recommends that the City Council approve these bids to be paid with park
dedication funds.

Trott Brook Farm Playground
Equipment
On May 8, 2000 the City accepted bids for playground equipment. Earl F.
Anderson of Bloomington, MN was the only bidder. The bids were under
the original Staff estimate. They bid the following:
· Playground Equipment in Trott Brook Farms Park $54,464.00
The bidder will furnish and install the equipment. The City will furnish and
install the cushion surfacing and will subcontract the concrete border. The
costs for these items will be brought back for Council approval at a later
date.
The Park and Recreation Commission has endorsed these plans and
recommends that the City Council approve these bids to be paid with park
dedication funds.
