Consider a request by Rapid Sport Marine Center for a general planning permit to allow
them to set up a tent for outdoor boat sales on Corborn's property.

Overview
Rapid Sport Marine Center is requesting a general planning permit to set up a tent for
outdoor boat sales in the Corborn's parking lot. The size of the tent is about 60' X 100'
(6,000 sr.) and will be located in the southwest corner of the parking lot, adjacent to
Valvoline Oil. There will also be an outdoor display area along Evans Streets, adjacent to the

tent. About 39 parking spaces will be occupied by the sales area. The sale will mn from
Thursday June 24h to Sunday June 27h. There will be 20 to 30 boats on display. Setup will
occur on June 22"d and 23rd. The tent will be taken down on Monday, June 28th.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Council approve the request for a general planning permit
to allow Rapid Sport Marine Center to set up a tent on Corborn's property with the
following conditions:
1. The tent and the area around the tent be maintained free of debris and kept in an
orderly condition.
2. The location of the tent be consistent with the submitted site plan.
3. The tent be removed within one day of the end of the sales period and the site be
returned to its previous condition.
4. All vehicle parking shall be confined to the existing paved parking lot.
