Wastewater Treatment Plant/Sanitary Sewer System Excess Capacity

We have completed our initial review of the existing wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) facility
and the existing sanitary sewer collection system, relative to excess capacity. We have
determined that with a minimal amount of land acquisition at the WWTP site, the capacity of the
plant could be expanded rather significantly. We have also completed our initial analysis of the
existing sanitary sewer collection system, relative to excess capacity to convey sewage from the
three identified study areas to the treatment plant location. At Monday evening's City Council
meeting, we will have a sketch plan of a future layout of the WWTP site and a map of the existing
WWTP collection system to discuss the options available for expanding the City's urban service
area.
