Approve, by motion, a special event permit to Elk River Municipal Utilities for their 100 Anniversary
Celebration on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at the Sherburne County Fairgrounds subject to the following
conditions:
1.Applicant shall ensure all applicable fire codes have been met and all tents must be inspected by
the fire marshal prior to opening. Applicant is responsible for contacting Fire Marshal Cliff
Anderson at 763.635.1110 to arrange for an inspection.
2.Applicant must contact Police Captain Darren McKernan (763.635.1202) at least three weeks
prior to the event to arrange for police services.

Elk River Municipal Utilities (ERMU) is requesting a special event permit for Thursday, August 27, 2015,

to celebrate their 100 Anniversary. Below is a synopsis of the event:
Event is from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Sherburne County Fairgrounds.
The event includes a live band, kid’s games, power plant tours, utility demonstrations, and
historical displays.
