ECCSR 07-15-2015 City of _ Elk .----- ......„ Meeting of the Elk River River Energy City Commission Held at the Elk River City Hall Wednesday, April 15, 2015 Members Present: Chair Torn Sagstetter, Councilmernber Matt Westgaard, and Commissioners Tim Steinbeck,TA Flatland,Jim Hamann, Trish Curtis and Jason Hoskins Members Absent: Commissioners Bruce Sayler, Denny Chuba Staff Present: Kristin Mroz, Environmental Technician Others Present: Debbi Rydberg, temporary Chamber of Commerce liaison I. Call Meeting to Order Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River Energy City Commission was called to order by Sagstetter at 8:33 a.m. 2. Pledge of Allegiance Sagstetter led the Pledge of Allegiance, 3. Consider Agenda Moved by Westgaard and seconded by Flatland to approve the April 15, 2015 Energy City Commission agenda. 4. Consider Consent Agenda Moved by Westgaard and seconded by Flatland to approve the consent agenda. 5.1 High 5 Program Mroz gave the staff report and demonstrated the website updates. Rydberg suggested Finding a poster child. Flatland recommended the City itself participate to the highest level. Suggestions for local businesses to reach out to were discussed. 5.2 Contractor High 5 Kickoff Meeting (Savings from Sustainability) Mroz and Sagstetter gave the staff report. One RSVP has been received. Mroz suggested further promotion such as the Chamber Gram. Curtis suggested promoting Earth Day while Steinbeck recommended speaking with the Star News. Sagstetter demonstrated the ERML' Contractor website. 5.3 Energy City Action Plan Review Mroz gave the staff update and will be meeting with departments prior to the 2016 budget process. 5.4 Green Step Cities Step 4 Mroz gave the staff update, Westgaard recommended promoting Step 5 at the same time. 5.5 Efficient Fuel Vehicle Update Mroz gave the staff update. Rydberg suggested adding a car wrap to the budget. 6. Next Meeting Agenda Items (May 20, 2015) 6.1 CNG Vehicles Presentation (FBI)) Randy's Sanitation, Ace Waste Connection, or Waste Management 7. Announcements 7.1 Commissioner Updates 7.2 Staff Updates Mroz promoted an upcoming tour to the Haubenschild Farms for city staff and invited Commissioners to attend on May 8. Mroz will send out times to the commission. 8. Adjournment There being no further business, MOTION BY WESTGAARD TO ADJOURN THE MEETING.
