DISCUSSION:.
• The Board of Directors of the Minnesota Municipal Power Agency(MMPA)met on June 23,
2015. The Board was informed that management met with the Sempra management and
development team for the Black Oak Wind Project. Sempra expects the project to be in service
during the fourth quarter of 2016.
The Board discussed the upcoming MMPA annual dinner meeting scheduled for the evening of
Tuesday,July 28. Invitations to the event have been sent out to representatives from each member
community. The meeting is a good opportunity for council members,utility commissioners,and
other city officials and staff to learn about the Agency and its future plans.
• After 33 years of service,Wade Lovelette retired on June 30.We had an event with cake that
afternoon. He was presented with a meter lamp for his years of service.
• Included in the 2015 budget was a line item for a
transmission MISO Attachment 0 study by MCR
Performance Solutions,LLC. This consultant had done our
Attachment 0 work with Central Minnesota Municipal 4 9
Power Agency. In preliminary discussions with MCR,
ERMU has made changes in operations which would result
in a greater Attachment 0 return. The payback is expected to ;;` is
be two years,but only that long because of the one year delay - - i�/
in MISO payment. A conference call was held on June 17
and a kick-off meeting scheduled for July 22 at ERMU. �-
• On June 16 I filmed the Ma Y or's TV Show to talk about T
ERMU's 100 year anniversary,electric service territory,and ,
