Action Requested
Adopt, by motion, the attached resolution acknowledging a $1,000 contribution to the City of Elk River.
Background/Discussion
The Zimmerman Fire Relief Association donated $1,000 to the city to be used towards the Independence
Day fireworks.
Pursuant to Minnesota Statute 465.03, donations and contributions shall be approved for acceptance and
resolutions are required to be adopted by a 2/3 majority vote.
Financial Impact
The City of Elk River received a $1,000 donation.

A Resolution of the City of Elk River Acknowledging Contributions
WHEREAS,
the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and
individuals for their contributions to the community; and
WHEREAS,
the City of Elk River received a $1,000 donation from the Zimmerman Fire
Relief Association with the intent it be used by the city for Independence Day fireworks.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
by the City Council, by at least four-fifths
vote, to acknowledge the support and commend the Zimmerman Fire Relief Association for
their donation.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember
