Mr. Pete Kenier,Vice President of the Sherburne County chapter has submitted the attached request for representation from the City of Elk River HRA on the chapter's Board of Directors. With the help of Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity the FIRST Sherburne County Habitat Home is being built in Zimmerman. In order for us to keep addressing the need 1111) for housing in Sherburne County a Board of Directors needs to be assembled. Jim has stepped forward and is taking the reins as the President. I am honored to join the board as Vice President. We are now looking to our Housing and Redevelopment Authority for a representative to sit on that board. The representative would probably be committing to a one-year term on the Board of Directors. Because this is a start up chapter the amount of time that would be needed daily, weekly, or monthly is hard to pin down. We aren't re-inventing the wheel but I would expect initially there would be more time involved in the start up years. In order for us to have our officers in place and working by June 30, 2002 we would like to have your response by June 3.
