Background/Discussion Representatives of the Elk River Youth Football approached city staff in May to install football goals this season at the Oak Knoll Athletic Complex. They recently purchased the goals and have been working with parks maintenance staff on installation. The football goals can be used by the city and other sports groups interested in using the football field. Pursuant to Minnesota Statute 465.03,resolutions acknowledging contributions must be adopted by a four-fifths vote. Financial Impact Parks maintenance staff will assist with the installation of the football goals. Staff time to install the goals will be minimal,less than two days, considering the weather and should be installed during the first week of August. Attachments ■ Resolution Acknowledging Donation POWERED 6T Template Updoted 4/14 INAWRE1 City of Elk River Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: Resolution 15- A Resolution of the City of Elk River Acknowledging Contributions WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and individuals for their contributions to the community; and WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a$1,619.99 donation from the Elk River Youth Football Association with the intent it be used by Parks and Recreation Department for Football goals at Oak Knoll Athletic Complex. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council,by at least four-fifths- vote, to acknowledge the support and commend Elk River Youth Football for their donation. The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof- and the following against: ,whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
