Action Requested
Adopt,by motion, a resolution acknowledging Elk River Youth Football for their contribution of
football goals for the Oak Knoll Athletic Complex.
Background/Discussion
Representatives of the Elk River Youth Football approached city staff in May to install football goals this
season at the Oak Knoll Athletic Complex. They recently purchased the goals and have been working
with parks maintenance staff on installation.
The football goals can be used by the city and other sports groups interested in using the football field.
Pursuant to Minnesota Statute 465.03,resolutions acknowledging contributions must be adopted by a
four-fifths vote.
Financial Impact
Parks maintenance staff will assist with the installation of the football goals. Staff time to install the goals
will be minimal, less than two days, considering the weather and should be installed during the first week
of August.
