Background/Discussion From January 1, 2015, through June 30, 2015, the Police Department has received donations from groups and organizations. The intent of the donations is listed on the attached spreadsheet. Pursuant to Minnesota Statute §465.03, donations and contributions shall be approved for acceptance and resolutions are required to be adopted by a 2/3 majority vote. Financial Impact The City of Elk River has received $6,365.36 in donations. Attachments  Resolution Acknowledging Contributions  Spreadsheet Detailing the Donations; including the Donor, Amount, and Intent Councilmember _______________ introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: Resolution 15-____ A Resolution of the City of Elk River Acknowledging Contributions WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and individuals for their contributions to the community; and WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received donations in the year 2015 (January through June) from various individuals and organizations as itemized on Exhibit A, attached hereto. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, by at least four-fifths vote, to acknowledge the support and commend these individuals and organizations for their donation. The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember ______________, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following against: , whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
