Request to Attend Fire Chief's National Conference
The 2000 International Association of Fire Chiefs National Conference will
be held August 25-28 in Dallas Texas. During the International Fire Chiefs
Conference there are numerous training sessions, seminars, and emergency
apparatus exhibits that will be attended during the four days. One new
workshop that will be held during the conference is in reference to daytime
staffing of paid-on-call emergency services and its continuance to be a
challenge.
I am requesting council approval for attendance at the International
Association of Fire Chiefs National Conference in Dallas Texas. Funding for
my attendance at this conference is a budgeted item in my 2000 budget under
the Travel, Conferences, and Schools line item.
